“ Everytime I eat smoke bayou it hits the spot. I usually go for the 4 meat combo which comes with 1/2 lb of brisket, half smoked sausage link, 4 ribs, quarter smoked chicken, and 2 of the pint sides (I like the baked beans personally, and add some rice to make it a meal if it's own). The service is friendly, even when there's a wait at times because they're a popular BBQ place. They have good Louisiana decor inside that makes it feel like a hometown spot. FYI, they are relocating to a new location. I was a little too excited when picking up my plate this past Friday to actually ask when they'd be at the new location, but I know the 30th of March was the final day at 4355 Inniswold Rd The new location will be at 10655 Coursey Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816. ”
“ Bbq was the best that I have had in years . People don't sleep on smoke bayou. . Plates are heavy. Prices are reasonable. ”
“ following the positive feedback from yelp, we tried this place. some of the best BBQ I've had. ”
“ Today I went by the location on Inniswold Rd. The sign in front of the door said they were at the 225Fest. I went over to BRCC to patronize this business and because I wanted to try their ox tails which are served on Sundays. Unfortunately, the oxtails were only served on a baked potato, and I didn't want that. I opted for a smoke turkey leg with pastalaya. I got a plate for my brother with a smoked turkey leg with jambalaya. I must say that the food is amazing! The meat was fall off the bone, smoked through and through, and the pasta was delicious too. My brother said that the jambalaya was amazing, the best he's had! The only suggestion I would have for this business is to provide your customers with take out bags. It was an inconvenience to try to carry 2 plates back to my vehicle because they did not provide bags. Also, I doubled back for 2 more order of jambalaya, and requested a covered plate, was told that they couldn't give me another plate as they were running low. This was 2:30pm, even if a store run was needed, it should have been done! I spent $66 with this business and didn't even have proper take out carriers/bags... The staff wasn't friendly, but perhaps they were too busy to smile, greet, or engage with their customers. But the food was great!!! 10/10 ”
“ Good Day in the Morning!!! This food was AMAZING! Always skeptical on reviews but THIS!!!! The pulled pork, ribs, smoked pig feet, the sausage, and the brisket! Ooooweeee. Finger licking good! And with the new LOCATION coming on Coursey. Mr. Calvin doing it BIG!!! Coming back tomorrow for the oxtail. ”
“ This used to be my little secret. Now, they have blown up...and for great reason. Smoked catfish, smoked greens, oxtails on Sundays, fire ribs AND THAT DRANK(lol)...it's all good. They haven't let me down yet. ”
“ This was really good BBQ . It took a little longer than expected so next time I would probably call the order in. I probably wouldn't sit inside to eat because it's a bit Smokey but I will go back for a to-go plate for sure. There's a few other things I'd love to try on the menu. The brisket sandwich was delicious. ”
“ Still one of the best places to eat barbacue. Love n care every time I show up. The food is #1 service is even better. ”
“ Sausage had wonderful snap and flavor. Chicken/ribs was juicy. Brisket was on point. Beans were a bit sweet for me. Cabbage was well spiced. I judge bbq restaurants by the bbq... 10 out of 10 highly recommend. ”
